Hi, this is Jan. Great to have you on my personal website!

Since I spent three months in California after I graduated from High School in 2013, I am very passionate about Marketing & Communications. I was very lucky to be able to prove my motivation and willingness to learn during a Dual Study Program at BBDO; this included the Bachelor studies of Marketing & Communications Management (also including an incredible semester abroad in Canada) and the apprenticeship of a Business Administrator of Marketing communications. After I successfully achieved my Bachelor degree, I was employed full time at BBDO as a Digital Account Executive, mainly working on several Mars© brands.

In 2019 I decided to go for a change. After travelling through South America for six months, I found my new destination to be at Microsoft in Munich, where I was employed as a Communications Manager, focused on Digital Storytelling & Data Analytics. Especially the latter was something completely new to me - a huge challenge. But it was worth it, and analyzing the media, owned and social landscapes in order to make data-informed decision in communications became my new passion.

My journey now led me to Google, where I am employed as a Measurements & Insights Analyst for EMEA communications since 2021.

Personally, I love writing, both books and on my blog jungegedanken.de. I have an exciting past life as a YouTube content creator, and I still love creating videos from time to time. And lastly, I love nature photography.
